“We hired JAM Architects to design a significant single story extension to our rural three bedroom bungalow, comprising of a small extension to the front in order to add an ensuite and a large extension to the rear, with a utility room and large open plan kitchen, dining area and family room and the existing kitchen becoming a fourth bedroom and WC.

Prior to engaging John from JAM Architects, we spent a lot of time struggling to try and work out how we could fit everything in, however John spent time with us in order to understand our requirements and was then quickly able to turn our ideas into a range of options, giving us various choices in relation to the layout and cost.

Once we had chosen our desired layout John submitted our drawings to the planning department and due to his obvious experience and attention to detail was able to get the plans approved without any real issues. The same could also be said with the building warrant application, as John worked closely with building control in order to ensure that we got the go ahead to build.

Our extension is now well underway and John’s detailed plans have been invaluable to the builders, however he is still on hand to assist when they have any questions.

Thanks to John, our extension has been a pleasurable and exciting experience rather than a stressful and worrying one.
