PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This farm steading on the outskirts of Stonehaven had previously been converted into a large family home. Although the conversion was fit for purpose the client felt that the layout required rationalizing and that it lacked any design flair. JAM was provided with a brief to rework the layout and provide a design that would make the most of the views and the existing characteristics of the property.

The first phase of the construction incorporated the reworking of the ground floor livingroom, the formation of a utility room and a new feature staircase. The entire Southern wing of the first floor has been reimagined as a master suite with a large bedroom, dressing room and ensuite. New combination sloping and vertical roof windows have been installed in the master bedroom to take advantage of the stunning views over the surrounding countryside.
